Leading Staff

Mehmet Koç, has founded HLB MEHMETKOC in 2011, after serving as the Auditor of Turkish Court of Accounts, a Finance Inspector in Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Deputy Director of Istanbul Tax Office, the Director of Istanbul Tax Office and finally the Director of Large-taxpayer Tax Office of Turkey. Mehmet KOC has graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences (Finance Department) and graduated from Maltepe University Faculty of Law. After receiving his master's degree from Boston University (USA) in the field of "Financial Economics" and in the field of "Multinational Commerce", Dr. KOÇ has completed his doctorate in the field of "Financial Law" at Marmara University in 2010 and awarded the title of Associate Professor in Financial Law in 2013. Dr. KOÇ holds Sworn-In Certified Public Accountancy Certificate and Independent Auditor’s License.

Erturk Barlas joined HLB MEHMETKOC in 2012 after serving as Finance Inspector, the head of department and vice president in Revenue Administration, a Financial Counselor at Permanent Delegation of Turkey at the OECD in Paris and a member of Tax Council of Turkey. Erturk BARLAS, who completed his master's degree at Vanderbilt University (U.S.A.), is experienced in the fields of international taxation due to his duty at OECD and speaks English and French. Ertürk BARLAS holds Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor licenses.

After graduating from the Ankara Finance School of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ali INCE served as a tax officer, chief, deputy director and principal in many tax offices. Finally, Ali İNCE left the Taxpayers Tax Office in 2013, where he served as manager, and started to serve as a Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant. Ali İNCE, who is quite experienced in tax administration, has given tax lessons to the tax administration staff in Eskişehir Finance Course for many years. Ali İNCE holds Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor licenses.

Varol Senel joined HLB MEHMETKOC team in 2012 after serving as Chief Legal Counsel, Deputy General Manager and Supervisory Board Member in Citibank Turkey and a Member of Boar Directors of Turkey Finans Participation Bank. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Law, Varol ŞENEL has a master's degree in "International Finance and Trade Law" at George Washington University (USA) and speaks English fluently.
